Description: This tasty Tamarind Concentrate is 1.8x stronger than Tamarind paste and 4x stronger than Tamarind Pulp. Made from raw brown Tamarind it has no added preservatives, salt or water. With a sweet yet sour flavour, often compared to lemons, apricots, and dates with a cinnamon-like scent and undertones of tropical mango, using Tamarind concentrate makes it easy to add a rich tangy flavour to North/South indian dishes. This product contains no additives, only 100% natural Tamarind concentrate. Available in 150g, 400g and 1.2kg packs.

SUGGESTED USE

It’s more than likely that your favourite Indian, Middle Eastern and South-East Asian dishes contain Tamarind… Simply add tantalising Tamarind Concentrate to the pan whilst cooking meat, fish or veg curries, soups, stir fries, dhals and homemade sauces! But don’t stop there, Tamarind isn’t just for savoury food. Make your own jams, pickles, chutneys, marinades, and desserts with this versatile paste. To dilute the paste, simply add two parts water to one part concentrate and stir until combined.
